April 3, 2020

This past month at Wasabi has been unprecedented, as I believe it has been for all businesses around the world. As a tech company, transitioning to a remote working environment has been as seamless as possible thanks to cloud technology, allowing the wheels of the Wasabi Partner Program keep on turning with no shortage of activity to share.

New Partnerships with CloudLand and FalconStor

This month, we welcomed two new partners into the Wasabi Partner Network.

The software distributor CloudLand will bring Wasabi’s cost-effective cloud object storage to MSPs in Benelux countries. The joint venture allows resellers and service providers to increase their bottom line while providing value for cloud storage customers. Learn more in our CloudLand press release.

FalconStor provides a virtual tape library (VTL) that modernizes the tape archive environment. Together with Wasabi hot cloud storage, enterprises can improve the performance of their long-term archive operation and add an additional layer of redundancy to hybrid storage environments. Learn more about the joint solution in our press release, Knowledge Base article, and solution brief.

CRN Awards Wasabi with Two Honors

We were pleased to receive the news that Wasabi had been placed on two CRN best-of lists in March.

CRN’s 2020 Data Center 50 List compiles an elite group of suppliers who expertly support data centers within the IT landscape. Of the nomination, Wasabi CEO David Friend said, “The demand for Wasabi hot cloud storage continues to grow and our goal is to have data centers conveniently located close to our customers. As Wasabi continues to grow its global presence, our plan is to open more data centers with a smaller footprint at a lower cost, bringing greater value to customers around the world.” See the full list of honorees here.

CRN’s 2020 Partner Program Guide is the definitive listing of the most rewarding partner programs from technology companies that provide products and services through the IT channel. Marty Falaro, Channel Chief at Wasabi, said, “It confirms the value of our simple and predictable pricing that is up to 80% less than the hyper-scalers. The response has been tremendous.”

Webinars

Members of the Wasabi team participated in a number of webinars with several partners last month.

MSP360 and Wasabi – For French speakers, Wasabi was part of a webinar on our partnership with MSP360. Members of the channel in Europe may find this information useful! You can watch the replay here.

Datacore and Wasabi – Additionally, Wasabi’s Director of Product Marketing David Boland participated in a webinar with the Datacore team. The broadcast, titled “On-Premises and Cloud Storage — Friends or Foes?,” delved into the pros and cons of using on-premises and cloud storage. Listen to the webinar here.

March was a productive month for the Wasabi Partner Network. We are excited to see what April holds for Wasabi and our growing family of partners!
