Wasabi hot cloud storage is great for helping businesses, the public sector, and the channel partners that sell to them all keep storage costs at bay during these challenging financial times and our partnerships continue to grow to support this trend. Here are all the partner updates from the past month!
Micropac, Macro Impact
In early October, Wasabi welcomed Micropac to its partner network. For those not in the know, Micropac is a national IT solutions provider, managed service provider (MSP), and experienced value-added reseller (VAR). Through its partnership with Wasabi, Micropac customers can now receive the benefits of a flexible and scalable cloud storage solution, and all without vendor lock-in. With its breakthrough price-performance model, Wasabi is the preferred choice for MSPs like Micropac that are looking to migrate more customers to the cloud for a wide range of storage use cases. As of early October, Wasabi’s cloud storage provides complete interoperability with complementary Micropac Technologies partners Veeam, Commvault, Rubrik, Cohesity. Learn more about this partnership.
Flexential flexes its data protection muscles
Flexential, a leading provider of data center colocation, cloud, and connectivity, announced in early October the addition of Flexential Archive Storage, powered by Wasabi, to the company’s growing family of data protection offerings. This new solution marks Flexential’s continued investment in data protection and the evolution of products designed to help businesses during this new “Working from Home” era. Flexential is one of the first data center providers to add cloud storage as a core service for their data center customers. Every customer needs some amount of storage, and Flexential can now provide that storage at a cost that is lower than owning and operating traditional hardware storage
Flexential and Wasabi have also announced a joint offering located in Flexential’s Dallas – Plano data center, to expand the Wasabi service to the southern and central parts of the United States. This new Central Region will service expanding data needs in the central and southern U.S. and complement the existing footprint in the West in Oregon and in the East in Virginia. The combined solution empowers enterprises to store more data for less and reduce IT budgets, so businesses can focus their time and capital on other core objectives. Flexential also offers customers the ability to connect directly to the Wasabi Vaults in the West, Central and Eastern regions through the FlexAnywhereTM network providing a faster, lower latency, and more reliable connection. Learn more about Flexential and Wasabi’s big news.
IDC Recognizes Wasabi! We ARE a Contender!
October saw Wasabi recognized for a straightforward pricing model and consistent growth by IDC as it was named a Contender in the IDC MarketScape Public Cloud Cold Storage Services 2020 Vendor Assessment.
In its assessment of public cloud storage service vendors, the IDC MarketScape recognized Wasabi for its infrastructure, customer reach, embedded technology, and growing partnerships. The IDC MarketScape also noted Wasabi’s flexibility to accommodate a range of storage workloads without compromising speed and the lack of ingress/egress fees or additional costs for data access as key value propositions.
According to the report, “Wasabi’s core strengths and differentiators in the cold storage market lie in the platform’s simplicity and speed. The vendor offers a single storage tier with a single price. This means that customers do not have to manage ingress/egress fees or additional costs for data access. This is an extremely attractive value proposition, specifically in the cold storage market where the cost of storage remains a major sticking point for customers. Wasabi builds onto this value proposition with features normally associated with ‘hot’ storage, like millisecond access time for objects and enterprise-class data availability and durability[…]this approach is what makes Wasabi such a unique and versatile provider in the cold storage market.” Learn more about the IDC MarketScape Public Cloud Cold Storage Services 2020 Vendor Assessment.
October showed no signs of a partner letdown for Wasabi; in fact, it showed the opposite! We look forward to much more partner action in October and beyond and thank our valued partners for their support.
