Messin’ with Texas: Wasabi takes XChange 2021

Over the week of August 15, Wasabi sponsored and attended the XChange August 2021 event in San Antonio, sending the crack team of Chelsea Rodgers (that’s me!), George Robbie, and David Boland. Since XChange is advertised as the largest independent gathering of the IT channel’s premiere solution providers and technology suppliers, it made perfect sense for our team to have a presence there. Our team’s goal for this event was to continue to build awareness in the channel for Wasabi as well as meet new MSPs. Spoiler alert: it was a big success!

Getting things started for Wasabi, Senior Director of Product Marketing David Boland spoke at XChange’s Solution Track series on Sunday night. His presentation focused on data security, entitled: “Defending Against Today’s Ransomware Crisis with Wasabi Technologies, David Boland”. With all the attention ransomware has been receiving in the news, it’s no surprise that David’s 30-minute presentation was well attended with approximately 40 people sticking around for the entire presentation. As always, David had great interaction with the audience and fielded so many questions that he wasn’t able to answer them all during the allotted time. Great job David!

Meanwhile, over at our booth, many attendees stopped by after hearing David’s presentation wanting to learn more. Other booth visitors had heard of Wasabi from previous events and some had never heard of Wasabi at all, so it was a good mix. Lots of MSPs also stopped by to say hello which was fantastic to see. And perhaps most satisfyingly, many Wasabi current customers stopped by the booth to share how happy they were with our service. We loved hearing from you all!

All in all, XChange 21 was a stunning success after a long year without any in-person events. Turns out getting the opportunity to educate folks about Wasabi in real life is lots of fun too. On behalf of our entire team, we hope to see you at our next event!
