So Hot We’re Cool: Wasabi Named to Nucleus 10 Hot Companies to Watch In 2021
There’s more great news for Wasabi in a year that’s been full of it. The market research firm Nucleus Research has named Wasabi as one of 10 Hot Companies to Watch in 2021. The list is comprised of technology companies that Nucleus sees as showing significant potential for growth and exceptional customer value.
In the report, Nucleus calls Wasabi a true AWS challenger because of its solution which is not only faster, but priced at 80% less than AWS S3 with no fees for egress or API requests.
As the Nucleus Report astutely points out, Wasabi presents a comprehensive cloud solution: “Wasabi addresses the critical areas with comprehensive support for on-premises to cloud, hybrid storage, multi-cloud, edge computing, data lake, and tape to cloud. Additionally, Wasabi deploys tools for IoT data, AI/ML processes, and data analytics, which bundled together, reduces the overall price and improves customer transparency.”
And as for vendor lock-in? Nucleus thinks Wasabi could be the cure: “Many customers are beginning to feel locked into services with AWS and Azure and are looking towards alternatives to support their cloud storage needs. In 2021, companies like Wasabi will show enterprises that there are cost-effective alternatives to the larger cloud service providers, and these solutions can be implemented without compromising performance or overall capabilities.”

The Nucleus Report recognition is the latest in a series of milestones for the company, following a year of exponential growth. Wasabi continues to expand its ecosystem, working with more than 3,700 total channel partners and over 350 technology partners to reach more than 21,000 customers. Additionally this fall, Wasabi was named a “Contender” in IDC MarketScape Public Cloud Storage Services 2020 Vendor Assessment and was selected by the entertainment giant Legendary to provide a sustainable and flexible cloud solution to streamline the company’s content storage.
