Wasabi Gets Our VeeamON!

We had the pleasure this week to be at the VeeamON 2019 Event in beautiful Miami!

As a Silver Sponsor we talked with hundreds of Veeam Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) and Managed Services Providers (MSPs) and customers about their cloud storage needs.  With over 2,000 attendees from around the globe and more than 50 breakout sessions, it was a tremendous event!

And it’s been a busy Wasabi week on top of attending VeeamON – with two major announcements!

#1 – Wasabi is now Veeam Ready

Wasabi is now officially Veeam® Ready Object storage (read more > Wasabi Veeam Ready), which confirms both feature compatibility and performance levels according to Veeam’s partner testing program standards.
Wasabi is a natural fit with Veeam Cloud Tier (a new feature included in Veeam Availability Suite™ 9.5 Update 4), that tiers older backup data to more affordable storage, namely cloud object storage. Veeam Cloud Tier provides unlimited capacity for long-term data retention by using cost effective object storage integrations with both native and S3-compatible service providers like Wasabi for enterprises of all sizes.

#2 – Pax8 Now Offering Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage Solution

Wasabi also announced a new partnership with Pax8, the best place to buy cloud products, to offer Wasabi to MSPs in North America. Pax8 is the first distribution partner for Wasabi and they also announced this week that they will be offering Veeam as part of their solution stack (read more > Pax 8 Now Offering Wasabi + Veeam).

Now that Pax8 is offering both Veeam and Wasabi, MSPs can improve data protection, reduce expenses, and easily connect their Veeam environment to Wasabi hot cloud storage using Veeam’s new object storage interface. (Remember our 2019 prediction that object storage was going to take off? Hold on, the ride is now taking off at radically more step angle!)

Wasabi hot cloud storage was a huge hit with everyone who heard our story at VeeamON… the low cost, high performance of Wasabi makes so much sense that people inevitably ask us, “What’s the Catch?” And there really isn’t one. Really.
