Looking Back on Wasabi’s Growth in EMEA
Looking Back on Wasabi’s Growth in EMEA
Wasabi has an uncanny ability to draw people in. From the simplicity of its product and messaging, to the expertise its team members passionately bring, Wasabi attracts business and talent alike at a remarkable pace. I joined Wasabi from Juniper Networks, another leader in its space, and what drew me in was the phenomenal opportunity to bring a simple solution for a complex problem to users throughout EMEA.
As the VP and GM for Wasabi in EMEA, my role is to build a team who shares Wasabi’s mission to deliver the cloud infrastructure of the future. As we scale out our EMEA team, we’ve implemented region-wide go-to-market leads spanning decades of storage, channel and sales expertise. This team includes Eric Peters, Country Manager of Benelux & Southern Europe, Daniel Arabié, Country Manager of Central Europe, and Kevin Dunn, Country Manager for the UK/I & Nordics.
The diversity of backgrounds in our management team brings us tremendous depth in local market knowledge, storage expertise and most importantly deep channel knowledge. Our commitment is to scale the Wasabi footprint in EMEA by being ‘channel first’, building out a strong and profitable channel to market across EMEA. I’m excited and humbled to work with such a talented team across all the regions; we’re building a great business and having fun while doing so!
Wasabi has made tremendous traction in EMEA, with customers like the Liverpool Football Club, which migrated from on-premises storage to Wasabi and ended up saving their team 15% more time to focus on critical business initiatives. EMEA adoption of Wasabi cloud storage is further cemented by Wasabi’s nearly 90% ARR growth and 1,800 new partners, including Softcat and Cancom.
Wasabi’s focus on just one thing is resonating with our partners and customers as our emphasis on delivering the best cloud storage means we develop the industry’s technical mastery. Since cloud storage is all we do, Wasabi offers organizations the most affordable, secure and reliable cloud storage in the world. The predictability of Wasabi’s pricing is also resonating with users in EMEA. As costs of business rise across every facet, from inventory to energy consumption, it’s more critical than ever for organizations to trim their budgets and tighten spending. Wasabi doesn’t charge for egress and API fees like hyperscalers and ensures users have predictable bills each month, helping companies save resources. I look forward to growing our presence throughout EMEA to bring hot cloud storage to organizations looking to capitalize on the important data generated by their business so they can outpace the competition and deliver the best results for their end customers.
