Wasabi Global Growth Continues, Adding Even More Partners In September
In 2020, it’s been thrilling to watch Wasabi’s partner network grow exponentially to include more than 3,500 partners, with more added every week. With September in the rearview and as fall ramps up, let’s take a look back at another active month for the Wasabi Partner Network. Wasabi hot cloud storage is great for helping businesses, the public sector, and the channel partners that sell to them all keep storage costs at bay during these challenging financial times and our partnerships continue to grow to support this trend. Here are all the partner updates from the past month!
Take a Peek at Peak Uptime
In early September, Wasabi welcomed Peak UpTime to its partner network. Peak Uptime, a Cloud Services Provider, was recently honored as a member of the CRN solution provider 500 list for 2020. Peak UpTime will use Wasabi’s affordable, high-performance cloud storage service to power a range of new backup, replication, and archiving solutions for its customers. Wasabi’s breakthrough price-performance model made it a simple choice for Peak Uptime who are looking to migrate more customers to the cloud for a wide range of storage use cases. At the outset, Peak UpTime will use Wasabi to power three solutions: backup and replication through Veeam, M365 backup through Veeam, and archive services. The MSP plans to add additional storage services with Wasabi, and will also equip its customers with the Wasabi Ball Transfer Appliance, a solution to quickly move large datasets conveniently and cost-effectively. Better Together Backup Solution – Comet and Wasabi
September saw Wasabi tout its full interoperability with Comet Backup’s newly-announced Disk Image backup functionality. The joint solution empowers service providers with the capability to protect their customers’ entire disks and partitions on Windows for full system ‘bare-metal’ recovery with the ability to restore systems to a physical machine, VM, or the cloud. With many businesses transitioning to flexible working environments, Wasabi and Comet knew delivering this capability to users was an important next step. Read the full announcement here.
Guten Tag! Wasabi Expands Distribution in the US and Germany!
Ebertlang
Wasabi partnered with the German-based DACH distributor Ebertlang in August.
Elbertlang customers love that Wasabi is a cost-cutting S3 alternative that’s DSGVO-compliant that can be used for a wide range of company needs including backups, archiving and central data storage. Elbertlang customers find great value in the fact that Wasabi’s storage offering is designed for enterprise use cases and can be quickly scaled if necessary owing to its simple and transparent licensing model. Read the full announcement here.
Carahsoft
In huge partner news, Wasabi announced a new partnership with The Trusted Government IT Solutions Provider®, Carahsoft targeting the public sector as well as reseller partners. Carahsoft will sell Wasabi to the public sector through its NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP) V and National Cooperative Purchasing Alliance (NCPA) contracts and the company’s broad base of reseller partners. Government IT professionals are expected to deliver the same type of innovative new services as the private sector and this partnership will go a long way in making that an affordable reality. Secure cloud storage provides a scalable alternative to maintaining expensive servers, disk, and tape drives. Infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), including cloud storage, reduces operating expenses, helps understaffed organizations reduce the burden of managing infrastructure, and enables intra- and inter-agency collaboration and consolidation of resources. Public sector agencies that have recently upgraded or migrated their data centers are increasingly turning to cloud storage for backup and offsite data protection in the event of a natural disaster or cyberattack. Wasabi Partner Network Program and Sales VP both get Accolades from CRN
Wasabi is certainly no stranger to the digital pages of CRN’s website and September was no different.
First, Wasabi was featured in the 2020 CRN Cloud Partner Program Guide which recognizes cloud providers with best-in-class channel partner programs. The annual list identifies industry-leading cloud technology vendors with innovative partner programs that empower and accelerate the growth of solution providers’ cloud initiatives. The Cloud Partner Program Guide is a practical map for solution providers navigating the ever-changing cloud landscape, helping to locate technology suppliers with ground-breaking cloud storage offerings and partner programs. Inclusion on this list validates Wasabi’s unique partner program, which enables its partners to address critical challenges in cloud infrastructure. Wasabi’s channel partner program was designed to put partners in control with an industry-leading price and performance model. The program is simple to join and to onboard with free sales and technical training tracks, deal registration, and joint marketing campaigns in a box that allow partners to get to market quickly. See the full announcement here.
Secondly (but not least!), September saw the well-deserved recognition of Wasabi VP of Inside Sales, Sue Nolin on CRN’s The 100 People You Don’t Know But Should 2020 list. The list spotlights some of the channel’s best and brightest people who may not be as visible as some channel chiefs or CEOs but are just as important to the partner community. Congratulations to Sue!
September showed no signs of a partner letdown for Wasabi; in fact, it showed the opposite! We look forward to much more partner action in October and beyond and thank our valued partners for their support.
