Wasabi Technologies Earns High Scores on CRN’s 2021 Annual Report Card
Boston, August 16, 2021 — Wasabi Technologies, the hot cloud storage company, today announced that CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, is recognizing it as a winner in the Cloud Storage category of the 2021 CRN Annual Report Card (ARC) Awards. This award celebrates the company’s success and efforts in earning high solution provider satisfaction with the products and services it provides to its channel partners. In addition to being named the overall winner in Cloud Storage, Wasabi also completed a sweep of all Cloud Storage subcategories, including product innovation, support, partnership, and managed & cloud services.
As one of the most prestigious honors in the IT industry, the CRN ARC Awards have been recognizing and honoring best-in-class vendors that are committed to driving channel growth through innovation and outstanding channel performance for the past 36 years. This highly regarded, candid feedback from solution providers has proved to be invaluable for guiding the design of vendor product offerings, bolstering partner support programs, and improving partner communications to foster successful long-term relationships within the channel community.
Wasabi hot cloud storage delivers a solution that is faster and less expensive than the competition and allows its 6,000+ channel partners worldwide to capitalize on the incredible market potential as the world’s data moves to the cloud. Wasabi allows businesses to affordably store all of their business-critical data and access it any time without the complicated pricing tiers or additional fees for egress or API requests. This industry-leading price/performance model makes it a seamless addition to partner portfolios while also enabling partners to earn margins and wrap services around the offering to their customers.
Wasabi has built a thriving technology alliance ecosystem that allows channels to sell “better-together” solutions with Wasabi as part of backup, ransomware protection, archiving, video surveillance storage and more. This has propelled exponential growth in the channel program, which tripled its size in 2020. Channel partners are also supported with specialized activation plans and activities, campaigns-in-a-box, field events, educational resources, and tools like the Wasabi Account Control Manager to help them market and manage their services in the most effective way possible.
“Wasabi has always understood that the channel is a critical component to our business's growth strategy and expansion plan. We have made it a priority to not only deliver a product our partners can fully trust, but to ensure their sales success with a collaborative go-to-market program inclusive of innovative tools and resources to support their key growth initiatives,” said Laurie Mitchell, Vice President Partner and International Marketing at Wasabi. “This recognition from CRN, and validation from solution providers, is something we truly take pride in, and we are excited to empower our channel partners’ success for years to come.”
This invitation-only survey of each vendor’s top channel partners, conducted by The Channel Company’s research team, included over 3,000 solution providers across North America. Survey participants were asked to rate their satisfaction with 66 vendor partners. Scores were given in 25 major product categories, based on performance across four criteria: product innovation, support, partnership, and managed and cloud services.
“We are thrilled to recognize these vendors who continue to go above and beyond to develop and nurture successful vendor-channel partner relationships by delivering best-in-class product and service offerings,” said Blaine Raddon, CEO, The Channel Company. “CRN’s Annual Report Card Awards go further than just highlighting our winners, they also offer deep insights into channel opinions and provide vendors with actionable feedback to implement into their channel strategies going forward. Congratulations to all our award winners. We look forward to honoring them at this year’s XChange+ 2021 conference in August.”
Winners will be featured throughout The Channel Company’s XChange+ 2021 conference, taking place August 15-17 in San Antonio, TX. Additional coverage of the CRN 2021 ARC results can be viewed online at www.CRN.com/ARC and will be featured in the October 2021 issue of CRN Magazine.
